Description

Quinores3D DB is a manually curated database of point mutations known as associated with quinolone resistance (QR) in Streptococcus pneumoniae.

The database contains information related to mutations in Topoisomerase IV and DNA Gyrase, heterotetramers composed of two identical subunits parC/parE and gyrA/gyrB, respectively. Information concerning the drug-resistance association is collected from literature, such as minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of several quinolones drugs.

Additional structural analysis results (from literature and computational analysis) are provided to investigate the antibiotic-resistance molecular mechanism, such as the effects of amino acid changes on drug binding, electrostatic potential (EP), and solvent-accessible surface area (SASA).

To search for all point mutations in a gene or protein, simply type in its name('gyrA/gyrB/parC/parE').If you are interested in a specific position of the protein sequence, please, indicate the protein name and the position number; if you are interested in a specific mutation of the protein sequence, please, indicate the protein name followed by the complete aminoacidic change.
